I wanted to show everybody a glimpse of the fabulous furniture boutique that I am a merchandiser and designer for. Since January I have been on board with Hillsdale Home to open up a new showroom in Dublin, CA. It is such an exciting business, as I get to work with wonderful owners and employees who allow me to be extremely hands-on in the buying process and merchandising process. We manufacture primarily in India where all of our casegoods are hand crafted and made of solid wood. We also house hand-picked antique items from Europe as well as China. We offer complimentary full-service design consultations (well everything except window treatments). Helping my clients with their homes is always much easier than decorating my own- as I never seem to decide on one particular style. The images are of our grand opening event back in March, and the floor has changed and added a lot of new items since then. I am really excited for our fall look- with a lot of "Ralph Lauren" type of merchandise. We do have a website www.hillsdalehome.com however it only contains a fraction of what the store carries. I hope you love it as much as I do- and remember not to be afraid to be creative!
Just over 2 years ago Derek and I got married in the Washington, D.C. temple.
We then moved to the beautiful beach town of Dana Point, CA where we lived near his parents and made a lot of great friends!
A short nine months later, Derek's job transfered us to the San Francisco bay area where we have been ever since.
Even though we live in opposite directions of any family, we do manage to go on some fun trips: Florida, Hawaii, Lake Powell, Lake Tahoe, Boston, Big Bear, New York and Paris.
That's it for now. I hope I can get a better hang of this whole blogging thing, so until next time- have a wonderful day!
After months of catching up on friend's and family's blogs, I have finally given in to the world of blogging. I always thought that we needed some sort of major event- or aleast a child- to begin posting about our life. So here I begin, with training wheels tightly fastened, and welcome any helpful tips on how to make my blog cuter. I am an interior designer- creative mind - yet I cannot for the life of me figure out how to paste in a fun banner, border, or background. At any rate, our blog may be boring at first, but at least it will get people caught up to where we are and what we are up to.
