more hilariousness....

The Year One.  Check out the trailer here.

And finally ELLEN.  She does this skit with a hidden camera in Starbuck's   It's so funny.  She first did it a few months ago with Dennis Quaid.  Since that was was so funny, she did it again with an employee.  Check it out here.

Have a great day!

Sugar and Spice and Everything Nice

This past Saturday I had the pleasure of throwing my sister-in-law a baby shower.  It is so fun to live near family and celebrate moments like this!  Plus, I always love an excuse to throw a party!   (I have no idea why this is underlined!)

Thanks to everyone who came- I know Kathy loved seeing friends old and new!  I'm so bummed that amidst hostessing and having fun, I completely forgot to get a picture of Kathy and I!

Little girl presents are just the BEST!  This is what my Mom gave 'Sassafrass' (cutest anthro apron!)

My gift to Baby Girl was making one of those collages I made for Jack.

I can't wait for this sweet girl's arrival.....

Check It Out

For all you mormon bloggers, or those who know mormon bloggers, check this out.  Some of you may already have read it.  It partly inspires me to start a creative blog, but then I remind myself that I'm doing this blogging thing more for 'scrapbooking purposes'....instead I may start adding in more of a twist.  We'll see.

I haven't been too inspired lately to blog much, however, I do want to keep updating with pictures as some day I will turn this into a photo album.  We have been keeping busier than I thought (looking back through pictures will remind me of that).   Mostly we've been having fun as a family, and taking advantage of the warm sunny evenings by going to the beach.

My spunky cousin Annette, her family and my Aunt Susan were all up in Newport for a week, so we decided to meet them in San Onofre for a bon fire.  It's been too long since we've seen them- and too long since I've participated in a bon fire (sad, I know).  The kids had fun playing in the sand, and I had fun catching up!

Last weekend Derek's brother Paul and his son Sean came in town to visit.  We stayed up in San Clemente for the night to celebrate Paul's birthday and hang out.   It's always nice to have a change of scenery and enjoy the East Coast visitors!

My friend Karyn was also in town that weekend for her baby shower.  She is having a little boy and is going to make the best mom!  It was a lot of fun to see old friends that I haven't seen in a long time!

This week I also had girl's night.  We went to Rubio's and saw He's Just Not That Into You.  I had already seen the movie, but it's always fun to get out with the girls to eat and laugh kid-free.

Jack continues to be curious about everything....as you can see here he discovered the chocolate syrup!

Opinions, please?

I was thinking about getting Jack a swim vest instead of arm floaties for swimming in the pool (and our upcoming vacation).  Does anyone have any suggestions as to brands or what they think about the vest vs. arm floaties?  ....remember Jack is only 15 months...

Little Rascal

I just LOVE my little rascal.  He has had a sweet yet mischievous disposition since day one and it only keeps growing and growing!  He makes me laugh so much!  I was telling Derek that I am either laughing or smiling at least 90% of my day and it's mostly due to Jack.  He is quite the character....and quite the sweetheart (he is still so huggable and snuggly- I hope he stays that way!)  I just love being a Mom - especially a Mom to Jack.  He is my little buddy and I'm proud that he's my little rascal.  I know I've got my hands full with this one.....but it's worth it!

Here are a few pictures of him "caught red-handed":

Taking after his Mom:

He does this every morning....he's obsessed with shoes

Somehow, somewhere, he lost his pants....

This one is my favorite...I found him today absolutely destroying the bathroom (not the first time)

I love to find him doing this:

And I love this precious time (except I like to be snuggling with him)
