Anyways, Jack is 3 1/2 months old and is such a happy baby ...minus at nighttime. Before we moved he was only waking up once to eat, but now he has been waking up 3 or 4 times a night!! I thought it might be due to the move, so I let it be for a few weeks, but now it's just tiring. We decided to sleep train him and let him cry it out. Tonight will be the third night. I'm fine feeding him once- it's just the other 2 or 3 times that need to go. The first night he was so upset- he cried twice for 45 minutes straight! Last night we put a 30 minute limit and would go in-not pick him up- just hold the binky and his hand. It kills my heart- but we have to keep with it now that we've started. It's gotten a bit better- but let's pray it works! Any advice?
Other than that, he is a happy baby and super active! In fact, this week he rolled over- twice!! He was so determined and he finally did it! Here are a pictures of how he goes about it.

We are glad to hear you guys are doing well. I can't believe your little guy is already rolling over!! WOW! We know about the night thing, our little guy did the same thing and just got in a bad habit!! Just let him cry it out, even though it totally stinks. He is so adorable, what lucky parents you are.
Isn't it funny how they can be little stinkers all night, then wake up in the morning with a big smile on their face and you somehow seem to forget about the night. Believe it or not someday he will sleep through the night.
I swear that boy is so tiny! There is no way he is rolling over already! He is so cute! No advice..you'll be giving it to me when it's my turn
Oh wow he is so big and so cute!
Other moms warned me about the "4 month wakefulness"! Sounds like that might be what you're experiencing! We took that opportunity to sleep train Robby as well using the Ferber method - it's about letting him cry for progressively longer intervals at a time and not picking him up when you go in like you said. It was nice because the intervals started out short and I could handle it better. It took about a week but then he was totally sleeping through the night! Another good book is... something like 12 hours by 12 weeks... can't remember exactly. But it's really short and easy and helpful!
Good luck! Sorry for such a long comment!
He has such a great smile. My kids are great sleepers. I read The Baby Whisperer and used her method for bedtime. It's a hard first day, but after that life is heaven. Check it out.
Brittany- he is so cute! I cant wait to see him this summer in Costa Rica! Sorry about the sleepless nights. I am sorry he's been having a rough time sleeping at night. I know you are nursing, but have you tried supplementing before he goes to bed so he's really full. I heard breast fed babies sometimes have a harder time sleeping through the night because they aren't as full... I dont know. I guess the crying out thing works... hopefully Derek's parents dont mind. :)
What a babe. Good luck with the sleepy sleep. Like Lindsey said, one day you will have a full night's sleep again. My favorite book - "Healthy Sleep Habits, Happy Baby" I re-read it every time and have actually recommended it a lot. And I liked the Baby Whisperer too.
Hey Britt, I think you emailed me last week, but my out of control son was on my lap pounding on the keyboard AND erased it ... something to look forward to :") Anyways, I don't have your email address for some reason so email me again or give me a call so we can get together soon ... 949.872.1594... can't wait !
I'm sorry about the sleepless nights, that is not fun. We let Boston cry at night and it really worked. His doctor said that it was ok, just to make sure he didn't have a messy diaper and wasn't sick. The first night he cried for 45 min, the next night for 10 min, and now he sleeps 12 hrs straight. Good luck, he is so darling.
Wow, he looks so much older! Definitely grown out of the infant stage and into an adorable smiley baby!
