It was perfect timing though, as I went to the mailbox after our appointment and found a cute note from Mom with some maternity/baby shopping money :) as well as the sweetest card from Meriel and hilariously funny napkis! Thanks Meriel- you're the best! I also called one of my best friends from High School today to tell her the news, and she let me know that she just got back from Paris where she got engaged!!! ...on top of the Eiffel Tower! C'est parfait! Anyways, life is hectic for us right now with work and church callings, and of course the baby on our mind! But we are so blessed to find out that everything so far is good and healthy with the little one. Now it's time to buckle down and start reading baby-care books and getting all of our gear. If anyone has any advice on brands, gear, books, etc... I'd love to hear it!!! I'm sure future posts will get a little more specific as I start to narrow down the competition.

That card is hilarious! Perfect for the BOY! Yippee! I love my 3 girls but oh man...my little guy Jack Jack is my HEART! And he LOVES me best too (unlike the girls who are ALL Daddy's). This one's mine. I am so excited for you both. What an adventure. Can't wait to meet him. Keep us posted (because we just LOOOOOVE getting news from Dallin all the way in Brazil...NOT)!

congrats! i can't wait to see what he looks like! if you want baby gear advice...my favorite stoller for the first baby is a carseat carrier (we have the one made by kolcraft and love it...i still use it for my 2nd baby girl)....but it's super light weight, great turning ability, a huge basket and fits just about any carseat...then we were able to get a really great regular stroller when hannah grew out of the carseat. good luck with the baby shopping and the names!

Boys are so fun! I think the what to expect books are really good... I still look at mine from time to time. And Healthy Sleep Habits Happy Baby by Mark Weissbluth is one of my all time favorites. What an exciting time for you two (and soon to be three!)

Brittany!!! I heard about you being pregnant from your family at home. Congratulations! That is so exciting. I know.. even I can't believe that I'm married, it will be a year this October and I still classify myself as a very very newlywed.
