Two weeks ago we got the chance to go to Disneyland! We've been wanting to take Jack before we move, and lucky us, Derek's parents had the same idea! It was a BLAST!! Disneyland is always crowded, but the weather was absolutely perfect! Jack is so into Disney these days....he knows all the Mickey characters, Winnie the Pooh, Cars, Snow White, Peter Pan, etc.... so it was so fun taking him to this magical world where TV comes to life :) We spent all day (11-8) and Jack was heaven sent. He was such a good boy, despite not having a nap. He patiently stood in line and loved every minute of the day. We took a ton of pictures to capture the fun, so here it goes!
When we first arrived, Goofy was taking pictures (one of his favorites!)
Then Mickey paraded right by us! What a start to the day!
We entered the park through Cinderella's castle and started our journey.

Of course we tried to fit in as many rides as we could.....
Peter Pan
(he loved flying in a pirate ship!)
Dumbo
(he could have done this a million times- he loved controlling going up and down)

Mr. Toad's Wild Ride
(he loved driving the cars!)
Carousel Ride
(while Derek stood in line at Pirates)
Pirates of the Carribean
Making the most of the line
He got a bit nervous on the drops in the dark, but loved seeing the pirates ships and the dog
Jungle Cruise
Jack loved this....most could have done without
What's Disneyland without It's a Small World?
We ate lunch in a Saloon, and had perfect timing for a hillbilly concert :)

We then took a break to ride on Mark Twain's ferry

Then a river raft over to Tom Sawyer's Island. I had never been there before, and it was perfect for Jack to get some wiggles out! It was filled with tree houses, caves, bridges, and treasure. Definitely recommend it!
Toon Town
(to visit Mickey's, Minnie's, Donald and Goofy's Houses)
Meeting Mickey in Mickey's House
Jack also went on his FIRST BIG BOY roller coaster. He waited with Derek in line, buckled in, and was so brave! When he got off, he was all smiles, and the little girl behind him was in tears. I was so proud :)
(They are 2nd to last, Derek in bright blue)
We finished with one last ride on Alice and Wonderland then headed back to Main Street. We were just in time to play on the Fire Truck and watch the parade. Jack loved having all of his 'friends' there to dance and sing with!
This photo sums up the day....we had a great time, but boy did we wear out Jack! He was such a trooper though! Thanks Bill and Nina for such a memorable day!
